Jon Culley at Notts v Warwicks 60-5 (29)
There's clearly something about Trent Bridge that does it for Luke Fletcher. Back at his home ground after taking just four wickets in four matches during his loan spell at Derbyshire, the Bullwell Bomber has three from 11 overs this morning, with Warwickshire in all sorts of trouble at lunch. And how his supporters here, of which there are many, have lapped it up, from the moment his name was read out as having made the starting XI. Yet Fletcher might have been on drinks duty if Luke Wood hadn't complained of a bad back this morning.
Warwickshire were 17-4, reeling from a two-pronged assault by Fletcher at the Radcliffe Road end and Jackson Bird from the Pavilion end, the Aussie bowling equally well. Things got a little easier when the two were given a breather, Fletcher with figures of 11-6-6-3, as Brett Hutton and Harry Gurney gave the batsmen a little more width. But now Steven Mullaney, a bit of a partnership breaker, has chipped with by removing Tim Ambrose just before lunch, ushering stand-in skipper Chris Woakes to the middle to try to rescue his decision to bat. He'll be encouraging Jonathan Trott to build on his 32 not out. This partnership looks crucial if Warwickshire are to extricate themselves.
