Steve Parson - Yes but Alsop has been dropped for poor form, but there wouldn't have been the options if there wasn't strength in Rod Bransgrove wallet to be able to support a large squad

Depressing stuff from Yorkshire. This is not how I envisaged today would go when we were 36-0 off 6.

doubly frustrating, Hodd out for a duck for Yorks and also my stupid useless fantasy team.

Not sure why anyone is that surprised at Yorkshire, this is how they batted last summer and now the ageing bowling attack has fallen to pieces. They have got worse every year since 2014 and other sides have get better
by nickcricket4/7/2017 1:31:12 PM
@nickcricket. You're not far wrong there. The worrying thing is the lack of options at the moment.
Alan Gardner at Essex v Lancashire 150-4 Scenes from Kolpakshire? Simon Harmer bowls to Dane Vilas (while Shiv Chanderpaul looks on). Harmer had just taken his first wicket for Essex, and it's coming out quite nicely...

Hi gang, has anyone got a code for the Fantasy League?
by Dave Knibb4/7/2017 1:33:01 PM
Brendan Mulcahy - There are some decent seamers coming though, nothing magic but decent but the batting well has run dry and Yorkshire don't have the money to sign 4/5 overseas to fill the void. Not sure why they have bothered to sign Travis Head for the T20, good player but not like he will put a lot of bums on seats.

Ladd-Gibbon is indeed a fabulous name. And playing for a very decent Loughborough side, who piled on hundreds against Northants last time out. Obviously, that leads us to our first XI of the season. The "So Good They Named Them Twice" XI, for those with double-barreled surnames. Ladd-Gibbon is in. So is Rainford-Brent. But who else? Fire away!

Also on the fantasy leagues - I think they locked at the start of play, we could start a league that starts from week 2 if there's demand

@PT1079 - sold a dummy by Vilas, actually. Shiv was three-quarters of the way down, after Vilas had nudged towards short fine leg; excellent pick-up and throw from Callum Taylor and Harmer did the rest.
