James Anderson injured in Roses match
Lancashire and England supporters will be waiting for reports from the Emirates Old Trafford treatment room this afternoon after James Anderson was forced to leave the field with what looked like a groin injury on the first morning of the Roses match at Emirates Old Trafford. Anderson had already bowled Alex Lees and caught Adam Lyth at slip when he pulled up in his delivery stride and collapsed in mid-wicket, clearly in some pain. He left the field, accompanied by the Lancashire physio Sam Byrne. England's first Test against South Africa begins in 47 days' time.
