Nor do I at 22!
by Matt Warwick9/8/2017 1:57:48 PM
@JessicaLewis Yes, He has had 3 innings at 8/9/11 and averages 0. Three ducks, he also averages less at 7 because of those India game plus a bit of a quirk as he still bats at 7 a fair bit because of Nightwatchmen
by nickcricket9/8/2017 1:57:37 PM
Stokes has 12 runs from 5 innings at 8-11. Scores of 12, 0, 0, 0, 0.

I'm 23 and I have no intention to stop leeching off his sky in the near future!
by Jessica Lewis9/8/2017 1:56:52 PM
as a dad when do we actually stop paying for our children? Mine 24 and 22 now and still my salary is there play thing
by Lawrence Payne via email9/8/2017 1:56:17 PM
I'm guessing the elevated average at 6 is due to the exclusion of that horrendous run of ducks against India a few years ago?
by Jessica Lewis9/8/2017 1:55:14 PM
parents ditching their sky, they only really used it for Tennis & then BT got the womens game. Think they are using Eurosport player for that, cant get rid of it until after the live championship game now!
by md1239/8/2017 1:54:59 PM
As a fellow ginger this my partnership, and hi Jessica
by Lawrence Payne via email9/8/2017 1:54:18 PM
Stokes also averages 40.66 at No. 6
by nickcricket9/8/2017 1:53:56 PM
I normally threaten to leave them every so often and they always come up with some sort of offer to keep me sweet for another few months. On another note though, I think you can now just pay for individual channels now so next March you can just take Sky Sports Cricket Channel for £8 a month then cancel at the end of the season.
by Dave Knibb9/8/2017 1:53:43 PM
Same for me Jessica. I use dad's Sky Go essentially just for the cricket.
by Matt Warwick9/8/2017 1:53:37 PM
Stokes averaged 27.72 with the bat from his first 20 test matches. In the last 19, including this one, he averages 45.35
by Matt Warwick9/8/2017 1:52:19 PM
Since moving out of my parents house I've refused to pay that amount of money for Sky TV when all I would really watch is the movies and cricket - luckily for me my dad let me use his log on to get Sky Go on my ipad!
Stokes only needs another 259 and be not out to average 40 in Test Cricket
by nickcricket9/8/2017 1:48:45 PM
If you want to observe/discuss things over the winter, Jessica, you know where to go... countycricketlive.boards.net (I have a contract with EE as well, I should check my benefits.)
by StaggerBreaths9/8/2017 1:45:58 PM
Going to stop being a silent observer of these boards to hopefully help on the ashes watching - I have a phone contract with EE that gives me 3 free months of BT sport which I am diligently saving for that test series! If anyone has a renewal coming up and the price is right it's a nice little perk.
by Jessica Lewis9/8/2017 1:44:42 PM
I know, I know, especially with both sides shuffling into the drop zone. But still...

The Lunch interval is always an issue, if its Vaughan and Swann I may fall asleep a lot with it on mute
by nickcricket9/8/2017 1:43:34 PM
does that mean Mark Nicholas as well? whatever you think of him

WHAT'S THE POINT
by StaggerBreaths9/8/2017 1:43:27 PM
UPDATE: Match start delayed (Play due to start at 3:10pm), Middlesex 108/3 (32 ov, trail by 250 - 1st inns) v Yorkshire
by ESPNcricinfo Live9/8/2017 1:43:06 PM
@Dez I doubt it, I watched a bit of the Australia coverage last winter. The commentary is just taken from the Aussie broadcaster and in the studio back in London you had Vaughan being sanctamonious and Swann thinking he's a stand up comedian. If I do watch any it will be with the volume off and TMS on, even if there is a lag between the two.
by Dave Knibb9/8/2017 1:42:22 PM
The ones over Christmas will be ok... Not sure how it's going to be possible when i'm working though!
by dez dezzy9/8/2017 1:42:16 PM
I heard a rumour BT was looking to do a sport pass like on Now TV which if you can buy say a Test a time is pretty reasonable but it stops being great value if you can only watch the first hour-ish because of work
by nickcricket9/8/2017 1:42:09 PM
I'll listen to bits and pieces, unless there's an obvious way to watch it without a paid-for package.
by StaggerBreaths9/8/2017 1:40:46 PM
I'll probably find a way of watching a few hours here and there.
by Matt Warwick9/8/2017 1:39:10 PM
Not sure, don't have BT Sport so would need to look at options to watch it. If I sort something I might stay up the odd full night but it depends how good the contest is
by nickcricket9/8/2017 1:38:40 PM
Changing the subject completely... How many on here are going to be getting up in the middle of the night to watch the Ashes? Or got tickets?
by dez dezzy9/8/2017 1:37:11 PM
Come on Sussex, let's have another two quick wickets, just to make it fun.
