I can only assume we expect Rafiq, Carver and prob even Lyth to bowl a fair few overs

dez dezzy - At least they are making themselves less likely to be poached, Clarke averaging 25 this season and team were queuing up for him
by nickcricket6/9/2017 10:34:39 AM
Joe Williams - Not sure, Brooks get more tons in this years CC than Lees. Think they are playing Waite as a bowling all rounder. Not sure who played the 2nd XI final yesterday but I would have liked to see Fisher but its already a long tail with Hodd at 6 and Rafiq at 7. If the top order don't make runs I fancy Somerset which is another way of saying I fancy Somerset this match
by nickcricket6/9/2017 10:33:24 AM
so what you're saying Nick is that we are backing our batting line up...god help us.
by Joe Williams6/9/2017 10:30:34 AM
Worcs in decline since Rhodes started throwing toys around about Tom K-C, reckon it's affected TKC's mates.
The Glamorgan promotion charge starts here! Slash when they ran over Durham the other week.

Live Update
Vithushan Ehantharajah at Gloucestershire 23-0 v Nottinghamshire
Morning from Brizzle where the skies are greyrain drops down each and every day. Well most of them anyway. Certainly in the last week. I got into Temple Meads at about 10:15am, election hangover in check, and had a dart through town while it was spitting. After the "toss" – Notts just wanted to bowl, obviously – the covers went back on and stayed on till the umpires were about halfway onto the pitch. Second ball, Cameron Bancroft – Western Australia residing but opting short sleeves in the south-west chill – looked lucky to survive an LBW shout second ball of the day from Luke Fletcher. Since then, he and Chris Dent have looked quite solid. Shot of the opening half-hour goes to Bancroft, driving up towards the flat off Luke Wood.

I didn't even notice Bresnan wasn't playing, wife expecting apparently. Wonder if he will play the RLOFC game, guess he will so I guess he is getting a little rest. Brooks had only got one wicket in the last three matches at Somerset so I guess I see the logic but is Waite playing for his batting?
by nickcricket6/9/2017 10:27:28 AM
trying to work out which is more frustrating, being repeatedly sent to a weather forecast, or not realising a match started yesterday topredoing my fantasy team....again. I'm going with weather forecast seeing as my fantasy team is a shambles anyway. I'll not get started on the Yorks bowling attack or I may have a melt down

dez dezzy - Yorkshire haven't rested anyone and they are at away Somerset, This pitch seems ok which is a shame I was hoping for a 2 day minefield. I guess England won't release Bairstow as the play the Semi Final of the CT the day after the RLODC QF/Eliminator which begs the question if he is too important to leave what is the point of Billings
by nickcricket6/9/2017 10:24:51 AM
Except it's not a semi-final but you know what i mean...

by StaggerBreaths6/9/2017 10:21:49 AM
Be interested to see if Surrey make any selection changes with a RLODC semifinal 220 miles north starting less than 24 hours after the CC match ends.
by dez dezzy6/9/2017 10:21:46 AM
Hameed certainly seems keen to pass the job on
by nickcricket6/9/2017 10:21:21 AM
He's decided opening for England is overrated, clearly.
by StaggerBreaths6/9/2017 10:20:52 AM
Its been a bad start for Nickosaurus United, two gun players dropped and now the opener has nicked behind, Oh Gubbo
by nickcricket6/9/2017 10:20:16 AM
There won't be a kink in my flow...On a cricket note. I guess Somerset felt they had to make a change with a few in the lineup struggling. At a certain point the guys in the 2nd XI need to feel their performances will be rewarded

I don't know who 'James' on the livetext is, but I like the cut of his jib.
by StaggerBreaths6/9/2017 10:06:12 AM
Morning all. Surprised by Trego being dropped, and if you'd told me Adam Hose would be playing Championship Cricket this year I'd be alarmed. He really proved me wrong in the 50 over stuff so I'm hopeful he can put some runs together

I am stunned by this turn of events, shaken to the core. No not the election Yorkshire have dropped two of my fantasy players and because the round started with the Kent game yesterday I can't swap them!

David Hopps at Somerset v Yorkshire
Two fast bowlers are missing for Yorkshire. Ben Coad is injured (sore shins) and so misses out after a meteoric start to the season but there is still no place for Jack Brooks, who is dropped after taking only one wicket in Taunton in the past three matches.
by David Hopps6/9/2017 9:55:27 AM
Found it! Good morning! What about those two crickets then huh. Almost as big an upset as May must feel right now. (Sorry.)
