Livingstone and Crane in England T20 squad
Liam Livingstone and Mason Crane have been named in the 16-man squad for next week’s three-match NatWest IT20 series against South Africa.
Lancashire dasher Livingstone and Hampshire leg-spinner Crane are among five uncapped players in the squad although Middlesex opener Dawid Malan, Surrey’s Tom Curran and Somerset’s Craig Overton have been involved previously.
Moeen Ali, Joe Root, Jake Ball, Adil Rashid and Ben Stokes are rested and will play for their respective counties in the inaugural day-night round of the Specsavers County Championship starting on Monday 26 June. Sussex fast bowler Tymal Mills has been ruled out through a back injury.
Durham seamer Mark Wood is available for the first match of the series and will be looking to add to his one cap he won against New Zealand in June 2015. Jonny Bairstow will be available for the first two matches of the series before returning to Yorkshire in preparation for the County Championship day-night match against Surrey.
Hampshire's young leg-spinner Mason Crane talks to ecb.co.uk about his entry into cricket, his approach to bowling and ambitions for the future.
