Franklin is averaging in the 20s with bat and ball this summer so yes he looks like he is a bit to high. Stirling was much higher than usual at 4 but it worked for him.

Erm. Shrug. They really like Higgins?

Max Holden got a ton for Northants last week and he's on Middlesex's books. Just saying.

That'd be the three absentees Sam. Needs must.

Has the Lords pitch been disguising the fact that Franklin is a couple of places too high in the order there?

A bloke who bats on that road every other game should average more than 39 for me

They are of course looking at Gubbins at a time when he's out of form. 😕

Middx tweets pushing the case for Robbo recall as Eng opener. Hmmm. Seemed out of the question 9 months back, but now I'm not so sure. I really don't think they should retain Hameed just now, he's so out of form. But iirc Jennings hasn't inspired great confidence so far this season either. Tricky. No obvious answer that I can see. I'd probably go with Jennings, if push came to shove. But I wish push and shove could be kept further apart.
