Lancashire 219-5 v Warwickshire
Lancashire rallied well in the second session to go into tea on 219 for five in their day/night Specsavers County Championship match against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
Shivnarine Chanderpaul led the recovery with a fluent unbeaten 90 (114 balls, 13 fours) against his former county, with good support from Dane Vilas (44, 72 balls, six fours) and Ryan McLaren (24 not out, 57 balls, three fours.)
Lancashire resumed after lunch in some trouble on 79 for four, after a morning session in which they reached 43 without loss then lost four wickets for 12 runs in 35 balls.
Haseeb Hameed lifted debutant seamer George Panayi to Ian Bell at short mid-off, Alex Davies (51, 53 balls, five fours) was run out by Will Porterfield's direct hit from mid-on, Jos Buttler fell lbw, playing across the line, to Jeetan Patel and Steven Croft edged Boyd Rankin's first ball to second slip.
Fifth-wicket pair Chanderpaul and Dane Vilas halted the collapse after lunch with a stand of 96 in 20 overs before Vilas skied Rankin and wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose took a simple catch.
But Chanderpaul, timing the pink ball sweetly, reached his half-century from 64 balls and found another durable partner in McLaren.
