Last season I'd have said Kent are way below par. However that attack in these conditions could be very very interesting. Made for a Stevo special.

Vithushan Ehantharajah at Hampshire 287-4 v Yorkshire
Pretty sedate start here at the Ageas Bowl. Gary Ballance has started with three slips to accompany Jonny Bairstow, as Ben Coad and David Willey take the ball but, even with the cloud cover and newish nut, I think we're basically waiting for mistakes. Chance for Liam Dawson to get a score. He's yet to pass fifty this season – 37 in the opening game against Yorkshire his best so far – and it would be some effort if he didn't improve on that today. Hants, meanwhile, should be eyeing up 500 on this. Vince's 150 is imminent...

George Dobell at Warwickshire (300 for 8) v Surrey.
It was a gorgeous morning at Edgbaston. But for the multitude who came in anticipation of watching a batting masterclass from Rikki Clarke it is already ruined. Mark Footitt has crushed their hopes for a perfect Saturday under his heel with a perfect inswinger that somehow found its way through Clarke’s watertight drive. Jeetan Patel has just sliced to point, too. They lost four for six since the new ball but Chris Wright has just edged to third man to secure that third batting point.
