Hampshire 515 vs Warwickshire
Sukhjit Singh managed to break Sean Ervine and Jimmy Adams’ record fourth wicket stand before taking his maiden first class five-for as Warwickshire’s patience was rewarded.
Left-arm spinner Singh, playing just his third first class match, impressed in his 50 overs to end up with six for 144.
Soon after lunch he brought Adams and Ervine’s partnership to a close when the former attempted to flick him over mid-wicket, offering a simple catch.
That ended a colossal 367 run stand, a Hampshire record for the fourth wicket, with Adams on 166.
Within three overs Ervine has brought up his second double century for Hampshire in 362 balls, before being bowled attempting to reverse paddle.
Debutant Ian Holland added 61 for the seventh wicket with Lewis McManus before he was lbw to Singh.
McManus followed him when he edged on the slog to first slip, Gareth Berg picked out long on and Mason Crane was yorked first ball.
And Hampshire were all out for 515 when Kyle Abbott picked out the mid-wicket boundary rider.
