@BethWatson: The prospect of a day-off is pretty enormous consolation. Though the stewards - who get double pay for Bank Holiday - are very pleased to see the rain.
George Dobell at Warwickshire (178 and 5 for 3) v Yorkshire (381)
Ben Coad, who had beaten Bell like a snare drum, finally has his man. In pretty dark conditions – they’re actually coming off the pitch now – Coad produced one that climbed and left Bell. It seems to have taken his glove on its way to the slips. But the weather has now intervened. It may well present the best chance Warwickshire have of escaping in this match.

David Willey, with two wickets in two balls, has taken Yorkshire a step closer to victory here. First he had Alex Mellor, edging one that bounced and left him, caught in the slips, before he punished Trott for trying to play into the legside with an inswinger. Fine bowling. He looks as if he’s added just a little bit of pace. He’s beaten Porterfield with a beauty, too, while Coad has beaten Bell with a couple of nice ones that left him. Warwickshire trail by 198. If the weather holds, this could be a three-day finish.
