David Hopps at Hampshire 12-0 need 320 to beat Yorkshire
It is a stonking day in Leeds. I drove the Lycra Route to Headingley from north of the city and there are cyclists in abundance and joggers of every shape and size. Sunday morning cafe dwellers are rejecting bacon and egg sandwiches in favour of the healthy option. Even the fly tippers are wearing trainers.
There is still moisture in the ground despite a warm and dry spell and Yorkshire, with the ball only four overs old overnight, need to make use of the morning session. If Hampshire survived with only one or two down, I reckon an inexperienced Yorkshire attack could feel the pressure.
Tim Bresnan should have taken a wicket already but Jimmy Adams has been dropped at second slip by Adam Lyth. Groans from te asembled throng.
