Paul Edwards at Yorkshire 27-3 v Somerset 281-4 declared
Remarkable stuff at Scarborough where the swing of Lewis Gregory and the sheer hostility of Craig Overton have removed three Yorkshire batsmen, all for ducks, inside four overs. The hazy sunlight and a heavier atmosphere may have something to do with Somerset's success. Brook was not culpable in the slightest -he gloved a fearsome bouncer - but Lees drove loosely at an inswinger and Handscomb played insipidly around a straight delivery. Great work by Somerset and an opportunity for Tom Kohler-Cadmore to endear himself to many thousands of Yorkshire folk. The home side began this innings needing 337 off 90 overs (3.74 per over) but that will be pretty irrelevant for a couple of hours. Even James Hildreth's century seems almost a distant memory now.
