Played 5 Tests while Piet was injured and did pretty well, stuggled a bit in SA due to attitudes to spin early in his career according to his cricinfo bio. Given he doesn't help with a quota he is another player who looked at the chances of jumping the two guys in front of him and thought the security of a CC contract was the better option Think he bats better than Essex have seen this summer as well.

Harmer now has 12 for 121 in the match. Distinct possibility of an 8-for in the second innings to make it 14. Who is this guy??
by Brendan Mulcahy6/22/2017 11:54:24 AM
@StaggerBreaths errrrr his wicket? and therefore is batting average what more valuable asset is there?
by nickcricket6/22/2017 11:53:33 AM
Trust English county players to make a spinner like Simon Harmer look like Murali.
by SDHoneymonster6/22/2017 11:53:22 AM
Ambrose may as well hit out now. Nowt to lose.

If Moe gets out it will be #MitchellsFault for batting too slow
by nickcricket6/22/2017 11:50:50 AM
Through the fog Moe. Faster through the fog. Fast enough to burn the ice off the road.

OK now I'm getting worried.

Well they're not going to chase this down by blocking are they? Swing for the fences.

This partnership is going at almost 5 an over
by Lawrence Payne6/22/2017 11:33:04 AM
With Hastings at 10, they have got plenty of firepower but the top order will need to get them close. In FC cricket once the rate goes over 6 it is a problem unless the pitch is really flat. Yorkshire had a few chases like that last summer and the only time they looked like doing it was when Bairstow was wrist flicking Broad into the stands for 6
by nickcricket6/22/2017 11:32:29 AM
It's definitely on but Shah holds the key. A couple of quick wickets and Worcs are in all sorts
by Beth Watson6/22/2017 11:32:20 AM
I reckon, Worcs aren't the sort to bat out a draw
by dez dezzy6/22/2017 11:29:36 AM
If they get all the overs in Worcs have to score at 3.89 from here to win. Is it on?
