@StaggerBreaths Fair point, maybe it will have Andrew Strauss as Saint Sebastian then

by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 3:13:46 PM
Don't forget that Andrew Strauss played for Somerset too
by David James9/21/2017 3:12:49 PM
The arrow only interrupted play, it didn't take the points.
by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 3:09:46 PM
Don't you mean to Andrew Strauss BapTrimble? :P

Bresnan > Finn in Aus. Official.
by Joe Williams9/21/2017 3:07:49 PM
@Dav3theRav3951 errr, actually Dom Bess took 18 wickets for West Torrens Cricket Club in Adelaide over the winter, please check your facts
by Will Colwell9/21/2017 3:07:22 PM
@JohnMitchell If Somerset stay up by virtue of the crossbow points deduction, I'm going to erect a shrine to Saint Sebastian
by baptrimble9/21/2017 3:06:19 PM
@Will Colwell, if Somerset did send Middx down by <2 points then it would be thanks to the crossbow points deduction. Of course the ECB would have been criticised whatever they'd done, but would be better for the CC not to have another relegation-related dispute this year after Hants/Durham/Kent last time.
by John Mitchell9/21/2017 3:04:13 PM
He's also been declared unplayable in Australia more than all of those.
by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 3:04:05 PM
Finn does have more wickets in Aus than all of those though
by Dav3theRav39519/21/2017 3:02:51 PM
He's very tall and not bad-looking Dez, I'm sure he has enough fans among the male-fancying population.
by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 2:58:47 PM
England bowlers with better Div 1 averages than Finn this year: JA Porter BO Coad RJ Sidebottom TE Bailey DM Bess L Gregory C Overton TD Groenewald LA Dawson MJ Leach

by MisanthropeGirl9/21/2017 2:56:34 PM
I'm not sure one good match - no, one good innings - on a helpful pitch counts as an uptick in form.
by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 2:55:59 PM
Middlesex currently 16 points ahead of Somerset, so if Somerset were to lose today/tomorrow, they could still stay up at Middlesex's expense by beating them and matching bonus points
by Will Colwell9/21/2017 2:55:54 PM
Does anyone really find Finn irresistible??
by dez dezzy9/21/2017 2:55:50 PM
If Somerset and Yorkshire win does that there are 5 teams that could go down?

@NemoUKS nope, but i was defeated earlier in the season by a 3 man team....think Lewis Gregory was their skipper and they get them about 1000 points

by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 2:42:37 PM
I'd rather see Chris Read wrap up the treble to be honest
by salvin2349/21/2017 2:41:16 PM
@StaggerBreath Ditto (with Worcs up as division champions). Would also like to see Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and Headingley all being second division grounds next year.
by ukoln9/21/2017 2:39:57 PM
Is anyone on here Arundel CC who are beating me with only five players in action? (Sanga, Finn, Rikki fricking Clarke as skipper, Ballance and Chanders)
by NemoUKS9/21/2017 2:39:38 PM
It's a shame that Kent's out of the question, they've got some good batsmen that I'd like to see in div. 1 (NORTHEAST but also DBD), but just didn't have the bowling to go up.
by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 2:38:02 PM
Ian Blackwell to umpire
by NemoUKS9/21/2017 2:36:59 PM
Also we might have Rory Kleinveldt bowling to Ravi Rampaul that way.
by StaggerBreaths9/21/2017 2:36:45 PM
I'd like to see Worcs. and Northants. go up. Worcs. because it feels like they deserve it, Northants. for faeces and giggles.
