ditto most of the season Will, i've become less bothered about England in recent seasons and been more bothered about the championship

The Messiah that saved Somerset
by courtneynangle9/28/2017 1:21:28 PM
So Somerset aren't definitely safe? Bloody BBC.
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:21:17 PM
You mean, they're proper athletes? Frankly in that respect they've always been so unlike me that marginal gains don't make much difference. But I'll always go Tests > CC > ODIs > T20 WC > RLODC > any other T20I > any other T20.

I know this England v WI ODI series has been a bit of a nothingness, but it's been interesting to me how enthralled I've been in the county game these last few weeks and how little I care about the England games
by Will Colwell9/28/2017 1:20:37 PM
@SB I think i've always been more of a 'county' fan than an 'England' fan. I pay my Sky money and never miss a Test but am less and less interested in the ODI and T20 games. The England players just don't seem to be 'one of us' like they used to.
by Dave Knibb9/28/2017 1:19:22 PM
Lancashire would win by offering 30 pieces of silver.
by StaggerBreaths9/28/2017 1:19:11 PM
@petepineapple81 Durham 48 for Financial Reasons, Leicestershire 16 for poor on field behaviour - the rest slow over rates.

I would think the bidding war for Shantry will get pretty intense

Here's what Noon had to say...
"I've marked the pitch below average for excessive spin on days one and two.
"Days one and two it [the bounce] was fine, the odd one from the spinners on day three might have kept a bit low, but at no stage was there any thought of any unevenness." "The criteria says it's not how it looks, it's how it plays.
"In my opinion and other people I've asked for their opinion, we've come to the same conclusion that it's excessive turn. "There's going to be an investigation tomorrow.
"Phil Whitticase, another CLO comes in, he'll conduct an investigation and he will go through my findings and speak to both umpires, both captains and the groundstaff.
"He could downgrade it, he could upgrade it, that's entirely up to him. He looks at the evidence and he makes his own call."
by AnthonyJ_899/28/2017 1:17:06 PM
I like the idea of 'superrelegation', but it won't happen because Stokes has clouted someone, it'll be because they haven't paid sufficient bribes to the Rod Bransgrove Retirement Fund.
by StaggerBreaths9/28/2017 1:16:34 PM
What were points deductions for (not inc Durham)? All over rates?
by petepineapple819/28/2017 1:16:25 PM
Likewise, would be delighted if Northeast ever got picked. Hard to see how that's ever going to happen though.
by Matt Richardson9/28/2017 1:16:16 PM
UDI for Somerset. We're off to join the EU.
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:15:44 PM
Hey, my second team's Middlesex. Was chuffed when TRJ got picked. Malan less so, but that's because I didn't think he was good enough. Still don't.
by StaggerBreaths9/28/2017 1:15:41 PM
@StaggerBreaths or Stealers Wheel
by AndrewLowe89/28/2017 1:15:20 PM
@StaggerBreaths Easy to say when it won't happen!
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:14:32 PM
@StaggerBreaths I am sure Notts will get them to that level, once Durham get super relegated for the Stokes affair
by nickcricket9/28/2017 1:14:16 PM
I'm always more of an England fan than a county fan. Would be chuffed if Steel or Weighell or whoever became good enough to play for England.
by StaggerBreaths9/28/2017 1:13:22 PM
@AnthonyJ_89 Good point well made
by AndrewLowe89/28/2017 1:13:11 PM
@JoeWilliams Well said!

Oh yes I remember those images, blond, blue eyed and holding a sheep. Blending in well in the Middle East then
by courtneynangle9/28/2017 1:12:56 PM
@courtneynangle No, formless but Jesus on the other hand was the only white man for hundreds of miles and yet Herod still couldn't find him
by nickcricket9/28/2017 1:12:47 PM
AndrewLowe8 - Wouldn't Somerset be going down?
by AnthonyJ_899/28/2017 1:12:38 PM
the whole players being selected for England is a weird one, in that as fans we naturally want to point to our own players for selection when they are playing well, but as soon as they are selected, if they make a fist of it, we never see them again....seems the prudent thing would be to not champion any of our own counties players for England in the long run
by Joe Williams9/28/2017 1:12:13 PM
@courtneynangle If you look at all the images in chuches.
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:11:53 PM
God is caucasian?
by courtneynangle9/28/2017 1:11:08 PM
INDIVIDUAL 50: G Clark 52* (68) Durham 109/3 (28 ov, target: 370) v Worcs
by ESPNcricinfo Live9/28/2017 1:10:59 PM
@AnthonyJ_89 I don't think deductions will impact relegation. If Middlesex had their two points back and Hants draw - Hants still stay up on fewer losses.
by AndrewLowe89/28/2017 1:10:57 PM
If Somerset ever spent a full day in the field they'd bowl 120 overs!
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:10:29 PM
@nickcricket In his/her own image?
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:09:33 PM
@DaveKnibb Too valuable to be wasted on England. I don't mind Coverton topping up his tan and carrying a few drinks but nothing more please.
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/28/2017 1:08:55 PM
@DaveKnibb God loves a caucasian in his 20s with a beard...well at least that is what it looks like for the Church near where I live
by nickcricket9/28/2017 1:08:29 PM
@Andrew I agree, I wish over rates were scrutinised more thoroughly.
by Dave Knibb9/28/2017 1:08:22 PM
Northants having too much fun being jolly and playing with smiles on their faces to care about over rates ;)
by Duluth K. Archaeopteryx9/28/2017 1:08:11 PM
@Geoff If God drank scrumpy, why isn't Leach in the Ashes squad?
by Dave Knibb9/28/2017 1:07:17 PM
@DaveKnibb There's a lesson there - bowl your overs at the proper rate.
by AndrewLowe89/28/2017 1:07:08 PM
Just got home from yesterday's ODI. So God is a scrumpy drinker after all. And no points deduction. Thank you Lord!
