Don't blame Rhodes for going, no chance of getting a regular game at Yorks, gone to a weaker county to get a chance of a game

Sibley, Hose and Stone (with Rhodes to follow) are more examples, none of them will play International Cricket because Warks don't develop cricketers, they buy cricketers. A bigger contract and the hint of honours to follow is all a con. In hindsight, do you think James Harris is really pleased with his move a few years ago?

Borthwick also moved because Durham couldn't afford him, his record in his previous three seasons at Durham is as good as anyones.

The CPL must pay more or why does Sanga leave Surrey mid Blast to play there?

Borthwick is just one of many players who moved because they thought they were better than they actually are. Thinking a bigger county will lead to untold riches and glory. Willey is a good example and there are many others.

Yeah, it's weird, but playing T20 is the easy life for players really isn't it, and as the body gets older, standing in a field for 4 days vs smashing it around for 10 overs or so and fielding for 2 hours becomes an easy choice

@Joe Just thought it was ironic that the players have headed there. Suprised that Sangakkara left halfway through the season.

Jason Roy. -21 fantasy points this week. Good work that man. Penarse

Why is Imran Tahir playing 2nd Division red ball cricket and not involved in the CPL?
I only mentioned Williamson and Kohli as they are potentially good enough to fill Sanaga's place, as for the CPL, do they definitely pay less than a county team will do? Sadly the weather at the moment will not be a draw for them.
Looks like it Dez, we haven't seen reports of Roy's wicket (#Royforengland).
by StaggerBreaths9/7/2017 3:24:03 PM
@Joe Interesting that you mention Williamson. He's playing in the Carribean at the moment, interesting that the likes of McCullum and Sangakkara left England to head off there. Surely the better money was on offer here so why not play here? Makes you wonder what will happen with the City T20. We played our T20 in a block this year but the CPL was more attractive. It can't just be for the weather because money talks.

Has anyone else's Surrey v Hants scorecard frozen?

Yeah and their games were against Leics & Glamorgan
by dez dezzy9/7/2017 3:22:41 PM
Think it would be funnier if he ended up playing for Derbyshire or some county of similar 'skill'.
by StaggerBreaths9/7/2017 3:22:00 PM
Would be tough to tell him he can't bat 4 because that's Hildreth's position
by Will Colwell9/7/2017 3:21:48 PM
if not, he'd be more than welcome at Yorkshire!
by Joe Williams9/7/2017 3:21:11 PM

Kohli said he wants to play county cricket before the India tour... From Englands point of view the Oval wouldn't be a bad place for him to do it because it doesn't really get him used to d swinging/seaming conditions

Take Sanga's runs off Surrey early season, and they'd be a hell of a lot worse off, and short of signing someone like Kohli or Williamson as an overseas, they'll not replace him next year
