Vaughan talks up Liam Dawson -> Liam Dawson in the England squad so misses Hampshire games -> more overs for ISM client Mason Crane and elevates the importance to Hampshire's batting of ISM client James Vince
how are people just now figuring out Vaughan is a prat
by Rob Little7/4/2017 10:35:29 AM
@Will Good thinking, can he add Leg spinners to his arsenal. Liam Livingstone can bowl both. I would also like to add that Liam Dawson isn't listed on the ISM website so perhaps Vaughan was giving a view he was only being paid by the licence fee payer.
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:33:45 AM
Hope Lewis Gregory gets that lucrative ISM nudge soon
by Will7/4/2017 10:33:15 AM
That's a shame. I liked Crane. It really is quite incredible how Vaughan manages to have an agenda with absolutely everything he says.

Also got sad news to report, I discovered something very distressing last night. The gravity of the situation is not to be underestimated. I was interested in why Darth Vaughan was so pro Liam Dawson so I figured he must have signed up to ISM. It is average players best chance at 7 tests so it is understandable but I was shocked to find out that Mason Crane is an ISM player. It is a real shame but I am going to have to leap from the hype train and join the Josh Poysden fan club

UPDATE: Play due to start at 11:30am, Yorkshire 42/3 (18 ov, trail by 226 - 1st inns) v Somerset
by ESPNcricinfo Live7/4/2017 10:28:01 AM
@nickcricket - forgot about him! - suppose he'll have to go 5. Think Sanga leaves halfway through for the CPL so Moises would slot in at 3 or 4 then
by dez dezzy7/4/2017 10:27:49 AM
Also has Charlie Shreck just retired
by Matt_MYano7/4/2017 10:27:31 AM
In current touch I would have Stoneman in the side before Finch or KP
by Will7/4/2017 10:26:10 AM
@dezdezzy Top 4? Where is Moises?
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:25:59 AM
Glamorgan: Rudolph, Lloyd, Ingram (star bat and leggie), Donald, Carlson, Cooke (wk), Meschede, Wagg, De Lange, Hogan, BIG DUTCH TIM
by Matt_MYano7/4/2017 10:25:46 AM
Roy, Finch, Sanga, KP - not a bad top 4, not room for Stoneman even
by dez dezzy7/4/2017 10:25:32 AM
@Matt_MYano Carver will only play if Rashid or Rafiq are injured or called up which doesn't seem likely given the Dawson news
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:24:44 AM
Somerset: Johann Myburgh, Who Cares (WC), WC, WC, WC, WC, Roelof van der Merwe, WC, WC, WC, Max Waller
by Will7/4/2017 10:23:00 AM
@Bucko77gc Yes, he did it last year at Yorkshire as well the results were mixed. My memory is he often took up a lot of deliveries getting in and rarely paid it back.
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:22:28 AM
ooo yeah I forgot Carver as well
I mean they still have some pretty good strength in depth so I think they'll be okay. Worry for them is they need the all rounders to score runs
by Matt_MYano7/4/2017 10:22:23 AM
INDIVIDUAL 150: JL Denly 153* (197) Kent 457/1 (102.1 ov, won the toss) v Northants
by ESPNcricinfo Live7/4/2017 10:21:45 AM
@Matt_MYano Quite possibly, always a bit of rotation in the bowlers there maybe some games where Yorks don't pick two spinner although they usually both out bowl the average seamer at Yorkshire
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:20:20 AM
Thes young lads have their time to step up
by Paul Wilson7/4/2017 10:20:11 AM
I feel Yorkshire are just entering a transition period
by Paul Wilson7/4/2017 10:19:49 AM
Willey tended to open with Northants as well
by Bucko77gc7/4/2017 10:19:46 AM
I would expect to see Waite/Fisher in that Yorkies team instead of Coad
by Matt_MYano7/4/2017 10:18:24 AM
No wonder Graves thinks the blast in mediocre TKC, Marsh, Lyth, Handscomb wk, Leaning, Bresnan, Rashid, Plunkett, Willey. Rafiq, Coad
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:17:35 AM
@StaggerBreaths Even that isn't really working, I guess Harry Brook will miss some first team Cricket in the u19. Most of it must overlap with the blast which you wouldn't expect him to play in.
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:15:12 AM
'Because the club has focussed on 4 day cricket' LIKE ANY GOOD CLUB EVER.
by StaggerBreaths7/4/2017 10:12:49 AM
What I thought was a strong side came out with 13 points still remaining! Dropped Handscomb for Michael Klinger and Liam Livingstone for Sam Northeast.
by Kieran Layer7/4/2017 10:12:17 AM
@Kieran: I couldn't resist Foakes at that rating! Davies at Lancs is also 2 and therefore also in.
by Brendan Mulcahy7/4/2017 10:10:41 AM
Just noticed the world no.1 T20 bowler is also valued at 3 (Imran Tahir)!
by dez dezzy7/4/2017 10:09:32 AM
@JoeWilliams Because the club has focused on 4 day cricket so the likes of Brooks, Sidebottom ect rest during the blast. The local batting has never really suited T20 either, in fairness if they can get enough runs on the board they have got Plunkett, Willey and Rashid
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:09:30 AM
Ben Foakes at 2?! Who put this league together?
by Kieran Layer7/4/2017 10:08:57 AM
by Will7/4/2017 10:06:37 AM
I'd have gone with something similar Nick, also throwing in why do we keep chucking kids in who clearly aren't good enough.
by Joe Williams7/4/2017 10:05:52 AM
I am assuming the Yorkshire fan on the T20 wrote, hopeless 47 times and then wrote, Why Shuan Marsh at the end
by nickcricket7/4/2017 10:04:43 AM
Joffra Archer only priced at 3. That is an absolute steal.
