He's been doing alright this season, young Clark. Presume he'll be off to Surrey in 2018.

Tim Wigmore at Yorkshire 146-8 v Middlesex
Yorkshire really do have a tail. Both Adil Rashid and Andrew Hodd fell for ducks - Hodd clean bowled after missing an attempted pull - and Steven Patterson, who certainly looked high at number eight, didn’t last much longer. Now Jack Brooks has been bowled, also for a duck, to a ball that kept markedly low from Ryan Higgins. The last three occasions Yorkshire have come to Lord’s in the County Championship, they have been defeated in remarkable, deeply contrasting ways. This time, they might just be thrashed.

Pakistan is a row of black swans, paddling up the Thames, banging into boats. On occasion they swarm a boat and leave it floating upside down, empty.
