Vithushan Ehantharajah at Middlesex 172-7 v Lancashire
Heck of a knock from Toby Roland-Jones. All before him have worried about the ridiculous movement off the pitch which, were it bouncier, we'd be tempted to call "dangerous". He's such a clean striker of the ball but perhaps what's helping him here is the fact that he doesn't have the doubts or memory of a specialist batsman. He's forgetting the good balls and not holding back when it's in his half. He and Ollie Rayner have based 83 in the space of 15-overs, leaving Middlesex dreaming of something north of 250. Don;t think Lancashire have done much differently here, but the ball losing hardness has meant the balls that nip away or in are doing so at a slightly lower pace.
