If Northants declare behind, what's a fair target for Kent to set them?

Think Burns has just been dropped at slip off Crane. Might have dropped short.

@ Chris I sort of hope he doesn't, we had Rossington on loan from them and when he couldn't get in the team he came to us permanently. We'd love Holden full time but I fear he might be too good for us, more's the pity.

Yes Max Holden has been on lots of people's radar for many years now. Really good bat and his off spin gets wickets in club cricket too.

Hoping for 2 quick wickets for max bowling points. 4 overs to go!

@Dave I take nothing away from him, you've still got to get them! And he certainly looks a fine prospect

Would be hilarious if Shah got injured here due to overbowling

I'm not in Beckenham, but from what i've seen of Max Holden, he's going to be a pretty good player. We've got him on a season long loan from Middlesex and i'd be amazed if he doesn't find a way into the Midds team next season.

Interesting to see the women persisting with spin in the death overs. IMO it's one of the very worst things you can do in 50 over cricket, unless you have someone almost impossible to pick it's asking to be smashed all over the place.
Guess it depends how long Surrey go, one more wicket and batting power house Footy is in! Hard Hats in the crowd

Yes. No point batting again, and Surrey may collapse tomorrow afternoon. We did, in a similar situation last season.

Is it just me, but Derby just had a 17 ball partnership for their 9th wicket and Imran Tahir faced 12 of them whilst Hughes, on 108 only faced 5. Isn't that just a poor approach from the established batsman?

Do Hampshire enforce the follow-on? It's virtually the only way they can win the game but they must be getting pretty knackered.

Keith Barker's just played a straight drive that can only be described as vicious. Woof.
