@LordK Dawson - although technically he's a Wiltshire boy...
by SDHoneymonster7/5/2017 11:16:22 AM
Oh good, this boring conversation again.
by Matt Warwick7/5/2017 11:16:09 AM
@Nick yes it is easy to knock them and rightly so. 7 non UK players is indefensible and would be a travesty if they won the CC especially after the unpleasant Bransgroves Machiavellian actions. Who do they have in the squad? Crane? or have I missed someone as promising as he is he shouldn't be anywhere near I international teams yet. Add in their policy of poaching young talent from all over, Topley, wheater, Hart they really should be producing their own given their large catchment
by Lord K7/5/2017 11:14:50 AM
@LordK Easy to knock Hants and I have had a lot of fun with it but they have a player in the England squad which is more than most Counties.

by Will7/5/2017 11:07:48 AM
Tammy Beaumont went a long time averaging about 12 in ODIs with a strike rate in the 60s. Seems to have kicked on a bit
by Will7/5/2017 11:06:27 AM
Just the 7 non UK players for Hampshire in this game I see!

Rashid caught third man, is such a Rashid dismissal

Rashid out uppercutting to third man

Lords tho innit bruv, went for a International for the first time last year. Nice day out but the pitch was awful made the Cricket attritional. Got this trick with a shandy bottle, heat the lid so it expands, pour the shandy away. Fill with beer. Got 4 litres in doing that.
by nickcricket7/5/2017 11:03:06 AM
I definitely don't advocating smuggling red wine in a cranberry juice carton. That would be wrong.
by StaggerBreaths7/5/2017 11:02:26 AM
I am sitting at work next to a cooler containing a bottle of Moet I found in the garage that must be at least 15 years old. Hoping it hasn't gone funny
by Will7/5/2017 11:02:09 AM
Its grey overcast and the ball is moving at Scarborough

You can take in a bottle of wine/4 beers though, and that'll cost you £20 at most grounds

Now let's see how Somerset go about losing this.

@MattWarwick Cardiff's recent allocation of two opening Ashes tests and an international tournament is utterly, utterly baffling and a slap in the face to the likes of CLS, Rose Bowl and Old Trafford
by GeorgePotter197/5/2017 10:57:13 AM
Think all this Cardiff bashing is a little unfair. Had many a lovely day watching England in Cardiff, plenty to do once the cricket's done for the day and the only place where a day's test cricket doesn't force you to remortgage your house.

People rave about this Abbott but he couldn't even get out Gary Ballance cheaply and he goes so far back in his crease to pace he is stood next to the wicketkeeper

I say yes if it means we don't have to play internationals in Cardiff.

@StaggerBreaths That and George Dobell, The most Warwickshire Somerset fan of all time?
by nickcricket7/5/2017 10:50:15 AM
The great Dobell debate. (Or at least, the one after, 'Should Rikki Clarke play for England'.)
