He is a slow starter, if he bats long enough he usually needs up in the 50s, and we know in CC he usually bats long enough

So Brook on before Rashid speaks volumes

Nice, slow, looping yorker from Brook, there. A man after my own heart.
by Brendan Mulcahy7/5/2017 2:11:27 PM
@SDHoneymonster They are leading by 137 with 8 wickets left, Yorkshire two full time bowlers are having to swap over.
by nickcricket7/5/2017 2:11:27 PM
Well they say yay or nay to the options so they are basically
by dez dezzy7/5/2017 2:10:01 PM
Yorkshire two bowlers down and Somerset making it look as if they're batting against the West Indies in their pomp.
by SDHoneymonster7/5/2017 2:09:55 PM
@dezdezzy I know but they aren't a selector
by nickcricket7/5/2017 2:09:25 PM
@nickcricket - the captain is always involved in selection meetings yes
by dez dezzy7/5/2017 2:08:14 PM
In Root's interview on the ECB website, he refers to the other selectors...does he think he is a selector?
by nickcricket7/5/2017 2:07:39 PM
Byrom appears to have learnt his footwork from Trescothick and that is not a compliment
by Will7/5/2017 2:07:15 PM
Only a Somerset batsman.

Harry Brook, Strike Bowler.

@PaulWilson Was sat behind a Surrey member at the ODI last year, she only seemed to be there to boast about how she knew and walking around that didn't seem uncommon. It was a shame she had a voice that could cut though lead
by nickcricket7/5/2017 1:49:31 PM
@Will 26,000 people and only one of them is enjoying himself
by nickcricket7/5/2017 1:45:40 PM
60 overs of Ballance blocking sounds good. Gives the bats at the other end more freedom to manoeuvre.
by StaggerBreaths7/5/2017 1:45:39 PM
Rain carried his bat last match for Yorkshire
by Lawrence Payne7/5/2017 1:45:38 PM
after having a blinder with the bat yesterday, i'm personally hoping our new awesome all rounder Rain will come on for a bit again at Scarborough
by Joe Williams7/5/2017 1:44:53 PM
Well its due to hit Bournemouth early hours so we shall see
by Lawrence Payne7/5/2017 1:44:43 PM
I'm praying England bat first because Ballance blocking is basically the only thing I do want to watch
by Will7/5/2017 1:44:27 PM
Doesn't look too bad to me, only 30% chance of showers for the 1st 2 sessions and glorious sunshine/28 deg in the final session. Shame it didn't start today though, cracking weather here
by dez dezzy7/5/2017 1:43:30 PM
@Will Probably get most of the days play in, yes a lot of the hours display rain but only with about 30% chance. On the other hand if there is a days play and you get 60 overs of Ballance blocking...He bored at least one worcs fan into leaving the tour match

Looking at forecast tomorrow for Lords the person who paid £85 for ticket might feel little short changed
by Lawrence Payne7/5/2017 1:40:54 PM
With his 4th run of the match, Tim Rouse guarantees he will have a higher average than Tom Abell since 2nd June
