Jon Culley at Notts v Kent 173-7
Kent have lost another two wickets since the resumption. Weatherley was yorked by Pattinson and Matt Coles caught behind off Harry Gurney. Unfortunately, they have lost another man in Darren Stevens, who was struck a nasty blow on the back of the head when he ducked into a Gurney bouncer. The Kent veteran remained on the field initially, facing Gurney again after a pause to regain his senses, but after another over or so was clearly in no fit state to continue and had to go off, although happily upright and able to walk steadily. Kent need 18 runs to make Notts bat again, Notts two wickets before then not to have to.

That Cook video has to be staged, surely? That's incredible! Why does he ever drop anything?

I'm sure Essex will declare, they are making up time for yesterday so it's a late finish, maybe even 10pm so they might keep batting for a little while. Surely they can't resist letting Amir and Porter have a go at Middlesex late tonight

I don't think the Essex run-fest will be going much longer somehow. Surely they want an hour at Middlesex under the lights?
