Billings to Notts makes some kind of sense considering Read is retiring.
by SDHoneymonster9/20/2017 1:23:46 PM
Just to clarify, Billings to Surrey was only a rumour back end of last season, it's more likely than Billings to Notts. My rumours come from facebook & knowing players in and around the set ups
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:22:24 PM
New rumour: Bayliss asks his wife to call him 'Jos'.
by StaggerBreaths9/20/2017 1:20:59 PM
Billings doesn't keep when Rouse plays. Which would be a great shame because he is a fantastic keeper.
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:20:57 PM
Warwickshire will also need to replace Ambrose soon but they can only offer div 2 Cricket for the next year

Where do you all hear these rumours? This blog is my one and only source.
by Kieran Layer9/20/2017 1:20:06 PM
Keaton to Notts surprises me, but not as much as Sibley to Warwickshire did. I do not understand how a team can promise a player a position in the top 3 when he's really not shown he's that capable in 4 day cricket
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:19:49 PM
Oooooooft. That was painful.
by StaggerBreaths9/20/2017 1:19:43 PM
Some vocalists like to 'howell' too
by dez dezzy9/20/2017 1:19:12 PM
If we ever get back around to music XIs, Howell's straight in there. Herbert Howells was an organ composer, but more importantly, look at those initials!
by StaggerBreaths9/20/2017 1:18:37 PM
I suppose Billings might not worry too much about not keeping, Jos as the limited overs side locked down with the Test keeper also in the team he would need to get in on batting merit anyway

They would do, if Bayliss could get his Buttler fetish under control.
by StaggerBreaths9/20/2017 1:16:18 PM
Could certainly do with some middle order firepower in white ball but i've not heard that rumour
by dez dezzy9/20/2017 1:16:06 PM
Do Surrey need keepers?

He's got the accent for Surrey.
by StaggerBreaths9/20/2017 1:15:12 PM
@ChrisCayenne Sadly heard that too. He'd be more likely to go to Surrey though, got a lot of buddies in that squad
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:14:48 PM
Not wishing to stir the pot but there were murmurs of Billings to Notts, though this was around a month ago and nothing since...

Wooo! a batting point, yay us :-)
by Joe Williams9/20/2017 1:12:13 PM
@Steadman19 Yes it does, Durham one season wonder Keats is set for vast riches at Notts
by nickcricket9/20/2017 1:12:06 PM
@nickcricket Probably behind Rouse, who's been pretty good this season when he's played. His batting's come on a lot. He'd probably be ahead of Ollie Robinson though.
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:11:48 PM
Hope this isn't a jinx, but great to see another England youngster getting time in the middle with Sanga
by dez dezzy9/20/2017 1:10:45 PM
Afternoon all, am I going mad or doe the above headline read Nottinghamshire are poised to sign Keaton Jennings?
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:10:40 PM
@Steadman19 Where would he sit in the Kent pecking order? Billings first choice and is currently out of the England limited overs squads but will he go to the IPL?

Dan Lawrence off the mark with a six. Always fun.
by StaggerBreaths9/20/2017 1:09:51 PM
@nickcricket Ryan left for personal reasons, a lot of people at Kent thought it was homesickness and he was coming back!
by Steadman199/20/2017 1:09:14 PM
Somerset should have kept hold of R Davies so they could be outraged when Notts signed him
by nickcricket9/20/2017 1:06:53 PM
by Dave Knibb9/20/2017 1:01:51 PM
Oh no sorry I was talking about Ryan Davies (Somerset via Kent)
by NemoUKS9/20/2017 1:01:16 PM
@Nemo Or are we talking about different players? lol
by Dave Knibb9/20/2017 1:01:02 PM
@Nemo Duckett was with the Northants youth system from the age of 11.
by Dave Knibb9/20/2017 1:00:31 PM
Still, if we could get the six out at the other end...

Also is there anything more dread inducing than the sight of KC Sangakkara getting a start?
by NemoUKS9/20/2017 12:59:53 PM
Pretty sure we did nick him Dave, albeit because Billings was blocking him at Kent.
by NemoUKS9/20/2017 12:59:29 PM
Age old problem with keepers. Godfrey Evans played 91 Tests, Keith Andrew 2, everyone rated Andrew as the better keeper. Bob Taylor waited for years behind Alan Knott (still a good keeper though). Jack Russell fell by the wayside for Alec Stewart. Read and Foster for Prior...
