@MisanthropeGirl Just guessing but whatever they got first innings at Scarborough against Essex?
by nickcricket9/27/2017 2:19:10 PM
Won't get the chance now.
by StaggerBreaths9/27/2017 2:17:46 PM
Imagine conceding 400+ runs and enforcing the follow on. Great banter.
by Beth Watson9/27/2017 2:17:14 PM
Notts a few runs from follow-on figure with nine down - could be critical
by David Hopps9/27/2017 2:16:32 PM
@StaggerBreaths Think Roy will get a few, its a good pitch and his home ground but Hales will still comeback and you would think Bairstow will no benefit from the continuity that Roy did earlier in they year that even one MOTM performance doesn't change the XI
by nickcricket9/27/2017 2:16:22 PM
What's Yorks lowest score of the season?

You can forgive the guys there bias though. CMJ always spoke a lot of sense and was a good judge of players
by Mark Ofield9/27/2017 2:15:01 PM
Good solidarity, they can't drop them all
by nickcricket9/27/2017 2:14:48 PM
This might actually challenge the England batting. Roy's chance to force his way back in...
by StaggerBreaths9/27/2017 2:14:34 PM
(Lewry probably was unlucky not to get in a squad)

Going out with a bang lads. Cracking stuff.

CMJ was ALWAYS plugging Sussex players. Distinctly recall Jason Lewry and a very young Olly Rayner getting mentions.
by Duluth K. Archaeopteryx9/27/2017 2:13:28 PM
Gone, sadly, are the likes of CMJ who did. County reporting has gone down in the the last 10+ years.
by MisanthropeGirl9/27/2017 2:11:41 PM
Good thing Somerset and Middlesex game didn't play out differently because Yorkshire sure ain't getting many points from this games

TV pundits definitely. Some of the older TMS commentators still get around the counties. Boycott and Vic Marks may be biased but they do see a lot more players. But some of them are too busy making money and listening to their own rubbish

by StaggerBreaths9/27/2017 2:04:47 PM
@MarkOfield It's the same 99% of TV/radio pundits though. The only experts who really know the county game are the brilliant journos on the likes of Cricinfo and the equally brilliant local radio commentators

As a summariser commenting on only what is happening in front of him Vaughan speaks a lot of sense. But on selection or county cricket its embarrassing how little he actually knows and thats being generous
