David Hopps at Worcestershire 55-3 v Notts
Those who came to watch Joe Clarke at Trent Bridge have not been unduly detained. He pushed forward to his first ball from Steven Mullaney and his off-stump flew out of the ground.
This was a tough test for Clarke with the words of his coach, Steve Rhodes, ringing in his ears. A few big runs now, Bumpy suggested, and he could put his name forward for the Ashes tour.
It has not started well.
Mullaney is bowling ahead of Harry Gurney, the left-armer yet to appear.
Worcestershire are surviving thanks to the scrapping of Billy Rhodes, but the day is going very much according to the script.
