@Rob From memory i'm sure there was a bloke called Woods who carried his bat something like 17 or 18 times for Leics, suffice to say, they weren't very good at the time.

Liam Livingstone scored a double hundred in the last CC game but who was the previously England qualified player to score a double hundred for Lancs?
by nickcricket9/6/2017 2:23:05 PM
Paul Edwards reporting from Emirates Old Trafford just before the fall of Ryan McLaren's wicket. Essex are bowling well and Haseeb Hameed is digging in.
by Paul Edwards9/6/2017 2:22:47 PM
yep
by Rob Little9/6/2017 2:22:36 PM
@Rob Was that Barlow for Lancs? A well known blocker in the 19th century.

lowest in tests is the first on this list (26 out of 47, but in mitigation it was when south africa weren't that good at test cricket...) en.wikipedia.org

@kieran Quite possibly, but he's doing it under the public gaze. I'm sure he'll come out of it and have a great career but Mark Lathwell lurks in the back of my mind.

@DaveKnibb In my experience wallowing in the depths of village cricket, when you get into a survival mentality, you can become focused on killing the ball instead of pushing it around. Weight starts going back during your defensives and it becomes a matter of blocking or going for full blooded shots. Maybe something similar for him?
by Kieran Layer9/6/2017 2:16:12 PM
Shantry going to have to farm the strike to score his hundred now

Leaning has climbed to second in the Yorkshire averages table, going passed Handscomb and Brooks. Without looking anyone want a punted on what his current average for the season is?
by nickcricket9/6/2017 2:12:41 PM
@DaveKnibb But most importantly, he's still there!
