So 5 points behind Middlesex. Yorkshire winning would be a sign that for all the talk of the best quality Championship ever there isn't a really good side. Yorks been held together will parcel tape half the season

you'd like to think Notts is a banker, but weather might start to a play part as the season goes into September. Last season I think quite a few of the later games got heavily affected. So, easy wins may be good draws?

Still four tough matches left yet. Yorkshire desperately need some top-order runs - if Notts weren't so hopeless they would have made us pay dearly for being 50 for 6 on the first day.

(I had to Google 'trencherman'.)

Its just before the International summer ends isn't it, otherwise Notts could have Ball and Hales as well

StaggerBreaths: I was going to suggest another poll along the lines of 'Do you know what 'trencherman' means? Yes? No?

Trenchermen: half the Northants team!

Brendan Mulcahy - Google knows so know so do I
by nickcricket8/26/2016 1:10:04 PM
@dave Nah, they're 'stenchermen'.
by StaggerBreaths8/26/2016 1:11:09 PM
Maybe England could realise they don't need the best number 5 in CC as 12 man and left him win the Championship!
by nickcricket8/26/2016 1:11:22 PM
Not Sure Jim Allenby is qualified to play for England, Nick
by dave8/26/2016 1:12:01 PM
Sorry Dave, you're absolutely right, I read that as Notts.
