Is Greame going to do a Keogh? We will white and see :)

I'd argue the complete opposite and say the last few England matches (and more) have proven we don't need a batsman like Hain in there anymore. We bat all the way down to 11 and even when we lose early wickets we have players who are able to rebuild the innings before laying the platform for some late hitting.

Good old Ballance seeing out 10 dot balls in the chase for runs after coming back out.

Would be great if Northants. can go back to being The Home Of English Spin, after producing Monty and Swann.

Every team needs one Robert. We've got Robson, who's closing in on his double Cowan.

Sadly #RobbyBingo doesn't have the same ring to it.

ffs, stupid weather

Hopefully it will only be a short break! Middlesex's tactics do seem odd given their forecast for tomorrow but I'm really not complaining. Dig in Robbo son, dig in!

I hope both matches go the full distance, I'm looking forward to avoiding this blog like the plague when the end-of-season decider is on.

Double Cowan for Robbo! Well played, exactly what we needed here. Perfect reading of the match situation. Give that man the captaincy.

One wicket away from a clean-sweep-by-spin up in Galle - I mean Northampton.
