That's what'll happen Nick. I presumed it was 'what will happen' rather than 'what should happen'. Either way you had ten men. :P

Gubbins had three first class hundreds, the hype train needs to stop.
by nickcricket8/15/2016 2:10:24 PM
Is there anything more cringy than a county cricket Twitter saying '#FistPumpTime'?

Nick I am driving this hype train, and I am driving it wherever it takes me, be that to the subcontinent or off the edge of the earth. All aboard, whoo whoo!

All of the openers suggested are unproven though, some more than others but I wouldn't say e.g. Robson is lightyears ahead of Gubbins in the pecking order. Westley with a small advantage because Essex nepotism, no other standouts. Which is the problem.
by StaggerBreaths8/15/2016 2:13:15 PM
Personally I would go for - Cook, DBD, Borthwick, Root, Moeen, Stokes, Bairstow (wk), Woakes, Anderson, Broad. Taking a leaf out of the Warne captaincy book and sticking Stuart to 11 to teach him a lesson.

If we make the follow on, i'd like to see us declare at 149 behind and put the onus on a potentially relegation threatened Lancs to say, set us a target

Now you've got Stokes in and you still have ten men! :P:P:P:P

Well no spinning all-rounders have really catapulted themselves into contention today...

In fairness the selectors should really call Lees up to replace Vince, a compulsive driver got lot of scores between 15 and 50 this season even share a bat sponsor
by nickcricket8/15/2016 2:16:14 PM
Yeah I forgot to add Rashid at 9
by nickcricket8/15/2016 2:16:47 PM
Hi everyone, a fine day so far. Hales, Ballance and Vince must surely be out of contention.
by Aneesh Kumar8/15/2016 2:17:04 PM
I added DBD we can get rid of this myth that there are load of amazing players in div 2...
by nickcricket8/15/2016 2:18:02 PM
Hello Aneesh. We think not Ballance, Hales maybe, Vince definitely.
