So this match will be interesting then.

Will be interesting if Borthwick and Stoneman gets ducks.

Incredibly harsh on Patto, particularly when you look at his record this season compared to Plunkett's, so I wonder whether it's to do with his ill father.

I'm here to lament the death of north east cricket. What a sad time. And what on earth are Durham doing choosing to bat??? Stick them in and knock them over. And Beardy Ed's comments are absolutely right.

@StaggerBreaths I said this morning they'll both either get ducks or hundreds!

Surrey looking to buy success!

Isn't Yorkshire North East?

Where's that chap who was on here arguing they get an unfair rap a few weeks ago? :)
by NemoUKS9/12/2016 9:16:24 AM
@lawrence. No. That's Yorkshire. North East starts north of the Tees.

Looking at those opener stats, it had passed me by that Chris Nash has had another impressive season.

Robert, reckon Venuto's put his glove on their shoulders and said, 'Kid, this ain't your innings.' ;)

Patto did have to leave the last match for personal reasons so perhaps with options available Yorkshire are giving him a breather
by nickcricket9/12/2016 9:19:53 AM
Patto's no doubt busy doing stuff for MI6. The cricket is only a cover story for him really, so it stands to reason the secret agent stuff would come first.

@StaggerBreaths it would have been interesting if Surrey were still in the relegation mix. Stoneman and Borthwick being in a position where their contribution could have potentially helped Surrey either go down or stay up (at potentially Durham's expense)

The Lancs v. Middlesex game is an interesting one. As a Yorkie, it's one of those matches where I wish both teams could lose.
Lancs winning but being hit by a points deduction for a substandard pitch would be a reasonable outcome.

I wish Surrey were still in the relegation mix. Surrey and Notts. going down this season would have been the most beautiful thing...
