Worcestershire 183-2 trail Northants by 368 runs
Daryl Mitchell completed his first century of the season for Worcestershire on a rain truncated third morning of the Specsavers County Championship match with Northamptonshire at New Road.
The opening batsman had resumed on 86 not out and went to three figures with a boundary to third man off Ben Sanderson.
Mitchell's 100 came up off 164 balls with 16 boundaries.
Worcestershire lost one wicket in the 12.5 overs possible when Tom Fell on 66 edged Sanderson through to keeper David Murphy.
His second wicket stand with Mitchell was worth 152 in 42 overs.
When the rain came, Worcestershire had moved onto 183-2 - still 368 runs in arrears.
