Robert Stow - I saw they had re-signed him, I remember watching him for the Eng U19s a few years back, hopefully he can get some more runs in the seconds and put the pressure on

Someone please wake me up once a Midds wicket falls.

Morning all. Somerset v Yorkshire seems to have finished early, not sure what happened there, so over to the Midsx/Lancs game. Davies looks a wonderful signing too, early implications is he'll keep in red ball cricket and bat only in white, which means Ryan Davies will still get games- best of both worlds?

Middlesex's verdict on the T20 thingy: www.middlesexccc.com I'm not strongly against the City idea (just strongly against trying to fit two T20 comps. into the schedule without scrapping/reducing the List A comp.). I am strongly against the pretence put forward by several clubs that they didn't vote for the city comp. They voted to take all the other options off the table, that's voting for the city comp.!
Sorry for bringing this up Matt, PT, et al. If it makes this any better, it isn't the result of the vote I'm anguished about, it's the twisting of the truth being done by e.g. Middlesex and Somerset.

The game at CLS shows how much depth there is in England's pace bowling at the mo -- Wood, Rushworth, Onions and Carse vs Foottit, Meaker and both Currans.

Back to actually do some work. Or try to. Erk.
by StaggerBreaths9/15/2016 10:21:00 AM
Who were the teams that voted against? Kent Sussex and Surrey right?
by Aneesh Kumar9/15/2016 10:22:01 AM
Middlesex won't be laughing when the Marylebone Martyrs are playing all three formats and Middlesex is just forgotten

Woody! You're my favourite deputy (leader of the pace attack)!
by StaggerBreaths9/15/2016 10:24:46 AM
Burns or Sangakkara? They're hardly similar looking...

Athers was suggesting that the List A stuff would suffer, with the competition becoming a knock out rather than groups to save time.

@NemoUKS I think I'm right in saying only CurranT was born in Zim, CurranS was born in the UK. Has Carse committed to a nation yet?
