I wouldn't mind that at all Matt. Warwickshire/Birmingham/Bearminghamshire might object slightly more.

After all, by the time the city t20 started the Champions League will be gone, and we'll nearly have finished with the World Cup for another few years.

For Pete's sake - another maiden

Matt Warwick - Wouldn't surpise me, 50 Cricket just doesn't get people though the gates at domestic level. Strauss's MVP games provide a few extra matches for those around the England set up

Hmmm. Surrey and Durham twitter both say it's Sanga gone. Cricinfo reckon Burns.

RL ODI will probably have 3 groups of 6 each and that is most likely to be directly hit

I don't think the Currans' identity as English has ever really been in doubt has it? And Meaker has been here for a long time too.

My problem with a Knock out is, a team will go out in the first round so that the players play one 50 over game a year?
by nickcricket9/15/2016 10:28:38 AM
Cowan and then some for John Simpson - terrific effort

I am quite happy for the focus to be on T20 and First Class. The proper long form for testing players skills with bat and ball, and a short form for making money, having a laugh, and bringing in more people. Not really sure what the point of List A stuff is these days, beyond making money out of ODIs.

Even if Middlesex upped their scoring rate to a stratospheric 3.5 rpo it will take another 50 overs for them to get to 275. Then only 30 overs left in the game
by Mark Boyle9/15/2016 10:30:23 AM
Simpson should go on for a Daddy Cowan now
by Haystack_Jnr9/15/2016 10:30:51 AM
Lancs better bowl them out then!
by nickcricket9/15/2016 10:31:08 AM
The argument I've heard for List A has been that it is an entire day out in which you can see an entire match. That's the only one, not sure how commercially viable the format is with the T20 alternative.

Excuse my ignorance... a Cowan?
by James Amar9/15/2016 10:31:54 AM
How few runs does someone have to score in 100 balls for it to be a Cowan?
by Sam Inglis9/15/2016 10:32:01 AM
Simpson spoiling a brilliant run of dots with a 4.
