The one small thing I cling to, is that we only need to score at 3 an over and not get bowled out before the 110 are up, what scares the crap out of me is that we've got 2 bowling all rounders at the crease, a slogger and 2 blockers left, as well as a new ball in ten overs. Just want it to bloody start!

Voted Graham Napier. Hell of a season for him, both with the bat and with the ball. Legend, in every sense of the word.

Moving day today as they say in golf

The best argument for Yorkshire not deserving it is that both their main rivals thumped them at home. If Yorkshire do miss out then that final day at Scarborough against Middlesex was the real key. They should have been able to bat out a draw in that game.

Voted Patel. He hasn't won his team the Champo, but he's still been a force majeure even as other spinners pop up around him.

Sorry - that poll is appearing at 1.30

Jennings is probably the right answer, but Graham Napier is my admittedly fairly sentimental choice.

UPDATE: Stumps (Start delayed due to rain), Durham 242/7 (83 ov, trail by 169 - 1st inns) v Hampshire
by ESPNcricinfo Live9/22/2016 9:26:58 AM
Joe - yes run rate is no problem which is helpful as it would allow someone like Patto to block a bit and not be under too much pressure. The new ball is key you would think.

Those bonus points we dropped through carelessness comes back to bite.

Spreadbetting has Yorks getting 318 and Yorkies 8/11 to win (ignoring draw). That sounds perfect to me
by Mark Boyle9/22/2016 9:28:14 AM
Kieran, i'm also sticking the boot in to Yorks for our approach when embarrassingly not chasing that target vs Lancs
by Joe T Williams9/22/2016 9:28:38 AM
I reckon if Yorkshire bat the 110 overs they will get 350 but a couple of early strikes and we will have a one innings game which Yorkshire can't win the title. Hard not to think that once the title is gone Yorks will lose that 1 or 2% and Middlesex will win the match

Does anyone remember Croft with sporting declaration only to lose? or is it just me?
by Aneesh Kumar9/22/2016 9:30:00 AM
I give it fifteen minutes of wicketless play until I scamper off and actually do some work...
by StaggerBreaths9/22/2016 9:30:23 AM
Who does everyone have as favourites for going down?
by steeely9/22/2016 9:30:38 AM
Joe - yes they should have tried but I very much doubt they would have succeeded on a worn 4th day pitch with Lancs able to set the field back.
by kieranhdean9/22/2016 9:30:51 AM
@StaggerBreaths There's a first!
by Geoff Eisenhauer9/22/2016 9:30:54 AM
Lancs have bowled a side twice since May which is a stat

Having to do some some emergency surgery on the fantasy league because of the loan system kicking me in the backside... may be changes to the scoring ahead!
