Borthwick was in talks with Surrey but that was a while ago so maybe someone found a £5 note behind the sofa at CLS and they can keep him

On County Finances the ECB normally do the central contracts about now so there will be winners and losers there. Warks will stop getting Bell for free, could Finn lose his?
by nickcricket9/8/2016 10:52:34 AM
New ball has gone soft, next wicket he be at 5pm at Headingley

I don't see any way Finn would lose his central contract. He's played a lot in 2016, plus rightly fast bowlers seem to be allocated more protection from the ECB.

Morgan may lose a contract if his Bangladesh decision is not what is wanted! That'd be a blow for Middlesex!

Warks will have Woakes for free, instead of Bell.
by Aneesh Kumar9/8/2016 10:55:40 AM
Chris Woakes doesn't have a central contract, nor does Alex Hales if he is going to continue in all three formats. Despite the ecb insisting he misses the last three weeks of the season Jonny Bairstow doesn't have a central contract

Staggers will back us up on this, Yorks might not have a wage bill next year if they continue to take all our bloody players, moan moan moan......

@nickcricket They weren't on the original list last year, but All three have incrementals at least I believe, would be very surprised if they haven't each been upgraded by the playing match points system
