Vithushan Ehantharajah at Surrey 637-7d v Hampshire 95-4
Pretty outrageous start to the day here. Dom Sibley, who bowled ahead of Zafar Ansari last night – Zaf has a stiff back – has taken two wickets in his first two overs, including the dismissal of Ryan McLaren with his first ball of the day. Tom Alsop went next, driving to first slip. He's bowling a mixture of leg and off spin: mostly leggies, so far, but the one that removed Alsop looked to be a more conventional off spinner. From afar, the load-up has given us the best clues. Last night, Ben Foakes mentioned that whatever spin there is on this track is wide of the stumps rather than straight. Sibley's current figures of two for 19 are his best in first class cricket.
