@SB, that says more about how poor England are at ODI cricket (hopefully now changing) than is does about Tresco i fear.

Well this is the Cricinfo predicted side from the game review - 1 Jason Roy, 2 Dawid Malan, 3 James Vince, 4 Eoin Morgan (capt), 5 Jos Buttler (wk), 6 Liam Dawson, 7 Adil Rashid, 8 Chris Jordan, 9 David Willey, 10 Liam Plunkett, 11 Tymal Mills

Although the word on twitter is Malan isn't playing, so I would push Vince to open, Morgan to three and have Billings (or Bairstow as why have him in the squad if he isn't going to play) at 4

Beginning of the end for The Moechine? Or are they just resting all three-format cricketers (bar Vince if you're willing to stretch a point)?
by StaggerBreaths7/5/2016 2:12:45 PM
And Bairstow... never mind I'm just confused.
by StaggerBreaths7/5/2016 2:13:12 PM
is Dawson a 'finisher'? I know he does bat, but i've never thought of him as being the sort to come in and smack 20 of 7 balls or something. There's usually a Hants fan on here somewhere... any thoughts?

TEAM 200: Glamorgan 200/5 (70.2 ov, trail by 17 - 2nd inns) v Sussex DL Lloyd 45* (84) JA Rudolph 0* (1)

As it's a one off T20, and we've not got a world T20 tournament for some time now, it's the perfect chance to experiment.

They should play Malan then.

CHEATS NEVER PROSPER
by StaggerBreaths7/5/2016 2:14:55 PM
StaggerBreaths - He is being rested like Root and Hales, I would have rested Bairstow as well. There isn't a T20 comp any time soon so a one off look is of little value but as they have picked him for the squad I guess there is a good chance he will play
by nickcricket7/5/2016 2:15:00 PM
To be honest can there be anything more pointless than a one off T20I ?

A broken pencil?
by StaggerBreaths7/5/2016 2:15:40 PM
He being Moeen, the difference with Vince and Bairstow is that they are fringe players who wouldn't get in the best XI.
by nickcricket7/5/2016 2:16:07 PM
Good point, the only writing implement I have had on my desk for the last year or so is a broken pencil. And I can concur that it's not much use.
