George Dobell at Somerset (128) v Pakistan (359 and 236-4).
Azhar’s century, brought up with a push for two through mid-on, has also brought the Pakistan declaration. It means Somerset need 468 to win in 73 overs. They might as well need a unicorn.
Pakistan added 96 in 14.4 overs this morning, with Azhar and Shafiq extending their fifth-wicket partnership to 138 in 30 overs. They both look in fine form and a class above the Somerset bowlers. It was the 26th century of Azhar’s first-class career.

I return! Scarborough continuing not to do anything of interest I see.

With such a warm-up act, this post is doomed not to capture interest. But George Bailey has reached an attractive 50 which included a straight six off Azeem Rafiq. If Rafiq is driven from the attack (and for the second successive day he has bowled only a three-over spell before Andrew Gale saw enough) that will put more pressure on Yorkshire's seamers on an unresponsive pitch. Steve Patterson, Yorkshire's metronome, was ill on the first morning and has looked below par all game. One long hop to Bailey was among the worst balls he has ever bowled.
@Yaacov: charl willoughby? Mark Robinson was't great, either.
