David Hopps at Yorkshire 279-9 v Durham 172
Scott Borthwick has just bowled an evil half-tracker which has bowled Josh Shaw as he tried to pull. Yorkshire's lead has passed 100 and much of that is due to a sedate but highly-useful ninth-wicket stand between Tim Bresnan and Shaw, worth 43 runs.
Shaw is bottom of Gloucestershire's Championship batting averages - his average 7.33 and top score 17 - but he looked secure enough here, certainly not causing Bresnan to do anything untoward to protect him from the strike.
Yorkshire will hope there remains enough life in this pitch in the second half of the day to make inroads into Durham's second innings. The locals are predicting that this surface will be flatter tomorrow.
