Personally I would leave Buttler to make a case for Lancs, he can't play every game for England as was shown last summer when he was worn out and had to be taken out of the ODIs Vs Aus, Will Bairstow make it as a test keeper long term is hard to say but he works hard and look what he has done with his batting since being dropped. It depends how much rope England want to give him or if they think they need someone else to stand up in India later this year

definitely no cause and effect with the Barstow keeping average - just happens that he's been possessed by the ghost of Bradman in the last year or so!

I'm not sure I believe the "Bairstow is better batting when he keeps" line of argument so much as just "Bairstow is a better bat than he was in his first run in the England side" which just happens to coincide with him keeping

Jarrod Kimber said on two men out that if all of Bairstows drops were worth -32.5 runs (the average for Test batmens) off what he had scored from the bat he would still be averaging 50

I would generally like to see a better keeper with the gloves but not sure that man exists yet. Foakes seems to be the long term hope, but Ben Cox is about the best gloveman not in his mid thirties around.

On a different note, I have just purchased International Cricket Captain 2015, haven't bought one of these since the early 00s, and the commentary is exactly the same. #itsnofootballmanager

Martin Bunt - found the same when I got the 2014 version after no playing one since Lehmann was in the Yorkshire side
by nickcricket6/21/2016 11:13:34 AM
I miss the old versions where you had pictures of the players.

Actually quite embarrassing how little they've developed them. Still buy them every year though...
by Andrei Rhodes6/21/2016 11:14:22 AM
In fairness to ICC2015, I think it's literally 2-3 developers, FM has a massive team of them! THey've just announced 2016 which looks a lot better visually, not sure if the underlying engine will have changed much. My only reservation about them is their unwillingness to crowdsource player information when they have a hugely loyal fanbase all over the world.

Still cant get my head around the T20 games on ICC, almost impossible to manage. Give me the more sedate 50 over or FC games anyday.

Just seen the Patel run out, he just stops doesn't even try and get in. The way he stopped reminded me of run out where he fell on his bum but alas he remained on his feet

Yorkshire stumbling a bit, are no where near total control

Re: the comment about Rampaul being a controversial signing. Surely the numerous examples of poaching young South Africans is more morally questionable?
