George Dobell at Warwickshire (283-8) v Nottinghamshire (152)
Morning from Edgbaston, where it is sunny at present but rain is forecast for later.
Allan Donald is here, on holiday really, but taking a look at the Warwickshire bowlers in warm-up. He looks absurdly fit.
James Whitaker, the England selector, is here, too. But there’s no sign of Luke Fletcher at warm-ups.

Freddie Wilde at the Ageas Bowl for Hampshire (219 & 18-1) v Somerset (474-8d)
The rain that is forecast, and that Hampshire will likely be relying on if they are to salvage something from this match, looks a long way away right now with the Ageas Bowl bathed in morning sunshine. The rain is meant to arrive at around mid-afternoon and it speaks volumes of Hampshire's batting struggles that surviving until then seems a tough task. They can at least be thankful for a batting pitch which so far has produced very few demons, although Ryan McClaren found some useful seam movement bowling from the Pavilion End yesterday evening - something that the height of the Overton's could exploit. Hampshire will find little inspiration from their fans; I'd guess that there are fewer than 100 people in the stands. Sad to see.
