Well they wouldn't want it to rain on any of the southern tests would they

Test Matches are always a risk, at the moment the forecast is for Rain on the Saturday and Sunday of the Headingley which is a big hole of revenue if it comes to pass

Anyone know if the Oval is free after tea today (if there's still a game on by then)? What with it being Schools day and all I haven't a clue...

I think the forecast for 1st test is some rain on Thursday/Friday, rain on Saturday and dry(ish) on Sunday/Monday

If the weather is good enough for Cookie to reach 10,000 and Vince to make a solid score i will be content enough.

@SamoraRL pas de probleme

If the forecast is right it looks like a particularly crappy saturday in store for me. Looks like heavy rain just before the start of play, then on and off showers after lunch either teasing play and getting none, or getting 20 overs in dribs and drabs
by Richard Baker5/17/2016 11:12:51 AM
That is the forecast as it stand although its changed since I looked this morning so how much store you can put in it. Its rainning quite a lot a night so the hours of play might be less effected www.bbc.co.uk

I assume the main reason Lords isn't taking an earlier test is because they're trying to complete more work on the new Warner stand.
Most test grounds / counties will take out insurance against weather affecting their revenues. But clearly the premium for doing this is proportionately higher in May than it is in August. More cost to bear before hitting profit
