StaggerBreaths - Broad would be at 8, which is a much better tail then when Caddick was at 8

To be fair Nick, on the most recent evidence (where Compton got a good ball and received very little blame from even Boycott), that should be the number 4.

Actually, in this round, Kent. Only two batsmen (DBD and Northeast) with a FC average over 31, and neither of them are over 38.

Current international cricket then. Current Broad batting < current Herath batting.

Dickson embracing the #WayOfHameed there, which is an improvement on the #WayOfHandled.

Kohler-Cadmore's brother is playing for Worcestershire 2's today.... could get even more expensive if you want his name on the back of your shirt !

StaggerBreaths - would still rather have Broad, Batted really well against Yorkshire this season with Read stopped Yorkshire winning the game. He is high risk Herath the kind of batsmen who gloves it behind without his hand on the bat and walks off while Broad nicks it to slip and stands there
by nickcricket5/24/2016 10:39:34 AM
Tom Curran, Foakes, Roy and Sangakarra all mooted as possible openers for Surrey with Burns unavailable

StaggerBreaths - On Compo, I just couldn't resist the joke it wasn't really about him.
by nickcricket5/24/2016 10:40:15 AM
Broad's still a pretty good batsman - averages 20 since start of Ashes, including a couple of genuinely really good innings (eg Edgbaston)
by Rob Little5/24/2016 10:40:48 AM
Broad is definitely that Nick, not sure that's something I'd applaud though. The best teams should be able to win while still being gentlemen.
by StaggerBreaths5/24/2016 10:40:58 AM
To be fair I think you (plural) are probably right about the tail, Broad and the obdurate Finn still outrank Sri Lanka. Not sure about most of the other countries. Even the WIndian tail can add a good slogged forty or so.
