@Kieran Is the situation you're describing the one where it's equal points and the tie is broken by virtue of Yorkshire having fewer losses? I'm not sure I could take that after missing out on more wins a few seasons back...

Can I just say how interesting it is having four games ongoing where they all matter? Sub plots ahoy!

The problem for Somerset is either Yorkshire are still in with a chance of the title and there is a massive incentive to artificially set up a game (if needed) or Yorkshire are out of the title race and may become demoralised and collapse in a heap resulting in a Middlesex win.

Why are we still picking Karl Brown :|

@SB sorry, that wicket caused a brain fade

Bess to open the bowling from the other end?

Fun fact, Notts' highest averaging batsman (Read) is carded to come in at 7. Has anyone ever sent their best averaging batsman in that low before?
by NemoUKS9/21/2016 10:24:44 AM
Nemo - no. That scenario would have Yorkshire 1 point ahead of Somerset.

What are the odds of there still being play Friday PM at Lord's? Asking for a friend........

@StaggerBreaths We'll have 3 overs of Gregory going 0-12 then bring on Leach

@Kieran In which case I *think* Yorks only need 350 - I'm fairly sure if we tie on points, Yorkshire take the pennant rather than sharing it

@NemoUKS Trent Bridge 2013 - Australia sent Ashton Agar in at 8 even though he averaged 98
by Will Colwell9/21/2016 10:26:03 AM
@NemoUKS You're more likely to get not outs coming in that low so it's probably not that uncommon.

@Will Colwell Good point... might have to put a minimum innings caveat on it!
by NemoUKS9/21/2016 10:26:38 AM
Nemo - no Somerset have fewer losses and therefore would take the title.
by kieranhdean9/21/2016 10:26:42 AM
Can I check I've got the situation right now?
What each team needs to win title: Middlesex - Win (if Somerset win) or Draw (if Somerset fail to win) Somerset - Win (as long as M'sex don't win and Yorkshire don't win scoring 400 in 110 overs) Yorkshire - Win with maximum bonus points (unless Somerset don't win with max bonus points)
