If, and a big if given our batting yesterday, Yorks are in a position to enforce the follow on i'd suggest that we decline and bat again, 2 1/2 days would be left at the time and a pitch only likely to get harder to bat on, would rather be chasing wickets than a small(ish) total

Notts 10 runs ahead of Yorkshire for 6 wickets down. Cue a Wood hundred to give them the first innings advantage.

StaggerBreaths - I am a huge YJB fan but I see him a bit like Buttler, he is good enough for one format for England and has had the odd success in the other but is he one of the Test 6 white ball batters in the country. I am not sure, given his current England commitments its make it hard for him to make a case

You miss by point. We've just come bottom consecutively and won 2 games in 3 seasons. Judge it when the club is back on its feet.

Off for lunch now, I'll be back later for ep. 2 of Dobell vs. Nickhar.

Enjoyed the debate by the way, now off to work. Hopefully a 5 for for Lewis Hill followed by a double century to keep you happy George..

As a Yorkshire fan, how good is it to have Sidebottom back. On the one hand, it 's worrying to have so much reliance on someone approaching their 39th birthday... on the other, it's great to see him still working his magic. Superb bowler.

Robert Stow - Yes, some of the younger seamers look a bit toothless when they were playing white ball cricket before Rafiq returned

Hard to believe Bopara has 3 Test centuries, isn't it.

Kevin Smear - That is WI cricket for you

Ravi is still one of the highest scoring fantasy players, he's having a Carberry-like season where he's scored a few runs without getting anything big
