Who'd be a Surrey bowler eh?

I dunno about it being uniquely English... didn't India have a couple of proper trundlers in their side a few years ago? I seem to remember Bhuvneshwar Kumar made Jesse Ryder look like Shaun Tait. Also let's not forget Angelo Mathews and Darren Sammy.

We might be treated to a bit of Bhuvi very soon.

Fair point Sam, didn't Stuart Binny take 6-5 or something stupid like that in a t20 against Bangladesh? Now I think about it
by Mark Ofield7/20/2016 10:58:24 AM
True, Mark. Why not promote one of the talented young'uns instead: Bartlett or Rouse. So many other young players stepping up around the County's. WE do seem to like our mediocre kolpaks though: Cooper last year and RVDM this year. Although RVDM has done well in the short stuff (not hard compared to the rest of the team!), we probably could saved a few bucks by promoting from within instead?

Amen to that Dave, no idea why the management haven't
RE: medium pace trundlers. i think T20 has made a new platform for those who can bowl a tight line at 70 mph with the occasional slower ball. Kevon Cooper of the Windies is playing a healthy trade by doing it. Some of the SLA and Off break bowlers who also open the bowling are essential medium pace trundlers who don't spin it and fire it into leg stump

A tense first hour after @leicsccc opted to field. Movement for the bowlers in muggy conditions, @Gloscricket 37-3. Klinger 11*, Marshall 3*

Don't you talk about Tredders like that Dave.
by StaggerBreaths7/20/2016 11:02:28 AM
Also let's not forget that the Greatest Cricketer Of All Time is a medium-pacer.
by StaggerBreaths7/20/2016 11:02:45 AM
I think we have a solution to the Glos v Leics feed - hope that will be provded if and when another wicket falls
by David Hopps7/20/2016 11:03:22 AM
Tredders? He's a batsman who bowls a bit now-a-days isn't he? Got a super ton the the ay
by dave7/20/2016 11:03:26 AM
Tresco did bowl a bit of medium pace in his day... or do you mean Sobers?
by dave7/20/2016 11:04:00 AM
