Afternoon Jon Culley. Are you able to shed any light on why Tahir has come in ahead of Hutton who preceded the former in the first innings. Injured, or just tactical - not sure swapping your 9 and 10 around can really be called tactical though? I think Hutton bowled lightly when Somerset batted may be an injury?

What does a Sharp(e) personality mean? spending the first half getting done down and then coming good with an Irish sidekick?

Jon is otherwise engaged, briefly but I have alerted him to the query

Have Gloucs. got a massive greenie or what?
by StaggerBreaths7/20/2016 1:07:42 PM
@StaggerBreaths I believe it's the same pitch the lions used yesterday...

All-seam attack as well for Leics., it looks like. Bit of Payne for Gloucs. supporters.

The one that, from the look of the scorecard, was M5-ish?
by StaggerBreaths7/20/2016 1:09:27 PM
Just read about Sarah Taylor's continuing absence from cricket. I hope she is well enough to return to cricket soon.
by John7/20/2016 1:09:57 PM
@nickcricket Notts are an odd one. They're undoubtedly hurt by having 3 away with England plus Taylor's retirement, and batting is a major issue. You can't help but feel many of their batsmen (Wessels, Taylor, Mullaney) are predominantly one day cricketers operating in 4 day cricket. If you add in their very long tail it's extremely fragile as we're seeing in this innings

I still think they'll stay up once Ball, Broad and Hales are back for the last few games

Samit needs four dots for a Cowan.

an accurate and timely comment, George

George Potter - I was more thinking of a couple of years ago when Hales was only a playing T20 Cricket for England, Taylor was scoring lots of runs which weren't getting him England call-ups, Samit is a talented lad, Chris read is a basically an all rounder at this level as his batting average is better than most specialists
by nickcricket7/20/2016 1:13:53 PM
@StaggerBreaths Harry Finch has made an excellent Cowan at Tunbridge Wells
