Bright & sunny in Manchester - so if anyone's hoping that the foot of rain that fell last night will rain the Lancs/Middlesex match off are going to be disappointed

...seriously can we scrap the Essex Twitter today, they ain't even playing.

They are always banging on about crucial sessions on the telly - I reckon the county championship title now boils down to the morning session at Old Trafford - if Lancs hold out all morning then the follow-on will probably be averted & a draw will be favourite, if not then the title is Middlesex's.

Just to confirm, if either of Yorkies or Midds win their fixture, Somerset are out of the race, right?
by Aneesh Kumar9/14/2016 9:40:53 AM
I think Somerset are better placed at the moment, knock over Yorkshire and win by an innings then go into the final game against a dispirited Notts side who are probably just waiting for the season to end while Middlesex have Yorkshire on a ground that no County game has been won at all year
